We may consider eligible wheelchair-related equipment, batteries, pressure-relief cushions, transfer equipment, repairs, replacement parts, or other qualifying medical equipment related to spinal cord injury.

Request Assistance
Nathan Powell Foundation accepts applications while continuing to raise funds for durable medical equipment assistance and limited help toward eligible medical bills related to spinal cord injury.
Use our Foundation-managed application form to request consideration. Please provide only the information requested and do not send medical records or other sensitive documents through the website or by email.
You may still apply if you are also using a GoFundMe or another fundraiser. We review each request individually and consider other available resources and current foundation funding.
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval, assistance, or funding.
Every request is reviewed individually based on eligibility, documentation, program fit, individual circumstances, and available funding.

Before You Apply
Our assistance programs are intended for requests that meet all of these starting points:
- The person requesting assistance currently lives in the United States
- The person is living with a spinal cord injury
- The request is for eligible durable medical equipment or a limited eligible medical bill related to spinal cord injury
- The applicant understands that review and assistance depend on documentation, program fit, individual circumstances, and available funding
Maximum assistance: The Foundation may award up to $1,000 for an approved request. An award may be less and depends on the request and available funding.
Meeting these starting points does not guarantee approval, assistance, or funding.

Medical Bills
We may consider limited help toward certain eligible unpaid or uncovered medical bills related to spinal cord injury care.
Service area: Applications are accepted from eligible individuals living in the United States. Every request will depend on program fit, documentation, individual circumstances, and available funding.
How the Application Process Works

Use the Foundation-managed Google Form and provide only the information requested.
Foundation review
We aim to provide an initial response within 7–10 business days after receiving your application.
Provide documents separately
If additional information is needed, the Foundation will contact you with instructions.
